| Called mom and dad, the same day I found out. Dad was a little sceptical at first, but half an hour later, he loved the idea. Mom started crying as soon as i told her. She was upset that she could not be here with me to share it. But will see them on the 19th of October. |

| One part of me was in complete shock. I had no idea what to think. After a while i started to panic and think that it was not the right time to be pregnant, but then again, when is the right time.After speaking to my mom, a smile came across my face and i felt more at ease with idea that we were going to be parents. More to the point, I was going to be a mom:) |

| We went to two prenatal classes. In Iceland they do things a little different. They do not teach you how to bath, or change the baby , or how to breath during labor. I expected a little more. |

The first time we saw the baby move, it was in the first ultrasound exsam. It curled it+s legs in. I almost cried.
The First time I felt the baby move, I was sitting and reading a book. I know realise, that he moves most when I am completly still and relaxed. From then on, he hasn't stopped. |

| Difficulties encountered during pregnancy or labor: |
|
I went into hospital on the 21st of March with Pre-eclampsia, a little difficult to explain, remained there till Matthias was born on the 4th of April by C-section. The days spent in the hospital was unbearable. I was physically fine, I could walk around and was not sick, I just could not leave the hospital. All I could do was lay in bed and read. I think I went through three books. Eventually they tried to induce me twice, but nothing happened. Matti did not want to come out. So we decided that the best way was to have a C-section. Then I went into surgery at 8pm, at 8:14 Matti was borne and by 8:34 I was ready to go into the recovery room. Amazing.
